Maybe it’ll all come out in the 3rd because right now I felt the author spent too much time on this character and didn’t give alot out of her, if that makes any sense. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. Excellent book Miss Vixen!!! This book starts out three years later. This story will not disappoint to all of you who have been waiting for this book.

Sep 13, Emily Eck rated it liked it. This was a hot five! Earning the Cut reveals intimate details about Dax’s past, including his rough childhood, his relationship with Trish, and of course, how he became the tough, alpha male vice president of The Phantoms motorcycle club. Bravo to the author can’t wait for the next won.

Wince was good as a secondary character but the bad guys in this story came across as slightly unbelievablle IMO. I mean we get nothing if we don’t try right? February 22, at 5: She left him and now he must move on until he sees her again and now he must get her.

But for him, things were different, and they had been for a very long time. Jun 17, Amanda rated it liked it Recommends it for: When her apartment is ransacked, Dax insists that The Phantoms provide protection for Rhiannon until he can figure out why she is being targeted by a rival crew.

Rhee and Dax reunite when he see’s her on a trip to Hawaii. Here, I was uninterested in the suspense Plot B of the book some caca about a criminal deal struck between the hero’s biker club on the mainland, a shady, sadistic crime lord in Hawaii, and also involving the local surfer gang.

The Phantoms go out to set up a deal and as fate will have it Rhee and Dax cross paths.

We read his inner monologue on. He has become, moody and hateful, to all the Phantom Stalkers and towards his brothers as well. Not enough interaction and story about the main characters, them being the whole reason I read this book. The chemistry was still there I just think that they could of got to talking sooner. Especially now that Dax knows about their daughter. SO that just frustrated me. At the end of Satin and Steel, Dax pushes Rhee away, because he leatger it to Trish to do whatever she wants because of all the sacrifices that she made to be with him.

Had I been able to put them down in between books rather than jump right into the next, separate reviews may have been a possibility!

When he finds her again In the end I think that it was best for her to leave him, had she dropped the ‘I’m pregnant’ bomb on him back when he was still with his girlfriend totally forgot her name he would have ended up resenting her. I’m sure some people wouldn’t mind that but personally I don’t like that writing style.

Everything he had come to know and love, everything he had become dependent on for security, stability, and self-worth was crumbling, like a poorly constructed sandcastle on a windy beach. When it comes out? The last thing she expected when she walked into the seedy biker bar was to be assaulted.

Leather and Sand

I will read the next book, because I’m hoping Wince gets a story. Overall all it was a very cute story.

I liked the ending, I just Dax could be less annoying and demanding. Their bodies still respond to each other, their minds are confused once again, wanting and not wanting to want the other person. As for the relationship between Dax and Rhee, it was a hugely juicy potential gone amiss, imho.

The only problem I had was that everyone she came into contact with loved her and thought she was the greatest.

Book one was so in your face and this one was a merely a means to an end.

Dec 09, Emily rated it really liked it Shelves: Published September 1st first published January 1st leathee Open Preview See a Problem? The world was falling apart. This prequel to Satin and Steel is told from Dax’s perspective. Lots of potential in this series and even though it doesn’t fill the biker void, I’ll continiue to look forward to the next book assuming there’s going to be one to follow this story through. This is in total contrast to Rhee’s story line, which was not only believable but had me emotionally invested in her new family!

When he finds her again For me personally, what was really lacking in this one was the romance and focus on their relationship.
