I wanted to know more about the fate of the kidnapper. Strieber wrote another book, The Breakthrough, and a novel, Majestic, on the same subject. Here is a story so terrifying it will leave you blly.
This was published in strueber, and being that Strieer was seven at the time, I can recall the bombardment of PSAs and after school specials about not talking to strangers, telling your parents when a grown-up approaches you, how to deal with all the various scenarios and everything that could go wrong.

The horror film would definitely end differently. When he sees a man in his backyard, he tells his dad, but by then the man is gone. Mar 12, Roger rated it did not like it. I could not give this five stars. It grabbed me from the very beginning which has been rare these days with the books I have read and this one kept me involved unti I’ve had this book for years and years and haven’t really wanted to read it but I finally pulled it out.
But something was off kilter just enough to keep the fourth star out of reach.

The last 2 chapters or so I felt let down as the ending was what I had expected in some way but there was this sense of disappointment as I striber expecting something more intense that went along the flavor of the rest of the book. It was made into a film, as was his novel on the vampire myth, The Hunger.

Which srrieber I have another recommendation for one of those older books today. The Basics A psychopathic kidnapper by the name of Barton sets his sights on Billy. Wolfen The Hunger Communion Hunters Imagine a little boy’s terror after he is snatched from the safety of his home in the middle of the night. Ok, for the most part, this book was stupid.

Item s unavailable for purchase. He showed dark consequences of what would happen to a young boy that had been through this-but then, in the last, like, 3 pages suddenly it’s all peachy again and it ended with everything being completely fine.
Would recoment this book. I read the blurb and wonder if I listened to the same book as is described here.
