Lm78ll05 makes an immense difference. Only ceramic caps are low in ESR,ceramics will reduce the ripple up to the level that your bulk cap can handle.
My load is just an 8-bit microcontroller and a transistor’s base with 1K in series.

I thought Datqsheet wrote about the current, but I was wrong. I am going to pull at most 5 mA of current. The output current of this IC can go up to mA. So you if connect high current loads then you can expect the IC to get very hot soon and shunt down eventually.
Submitted by webmaster on 14 December If it is right so I can power arduino mini 3v3 with the two outputs of the voltage regulators or do I need to use the output of LM78L05 and the gnd of LM79L A TVS is still a good idea though, since you’re working in an automotive environment.
